COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

The health and safety of my students and their families is my number one priority. When classes resume, these are the basic procedures that will be in place for the time being. As circumstances change, procedures will be updated. Before classes begin, all registered families will receive the most up-to-date plans and procedures.

• Classes will have a maximum of 5 students in each class. Social distancing will be enforced in each class. At the barre, students will be spread out to maintain a minimum of 10-12 feet of space. In the center, taped boxes on the floor will give each student an area they are able to dance while being able to maintain social distance.

• For the foreseeable future, we will not be using any props (stuffed animals, ribbons, etc.) in the younger classes. I have been working to find fun class activities for these classes that allow us to still have fun and learn while remaining safe.

• Students will wash their hands before and after class. Hand sanitizer will also be available in the lobby and inside the studio.

• Whenever possible the garage door in the studio and front door will remain open to help with air flow.

• Class times have been staggered by 15 minutes to allow students to arrive and depart without crossing paths with another class. I will use this time to disinfect commonly touched areas like the barres, door handles, and bathroom.

• Please arrive ready for class. For now, the dressing room will not be available for changing. When students enter the studio before class, there will be designated areas where they can wait before class while remaining distanced. If absolutely necessary, the dressing room will be available for use for one student at a time. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your class.

• The dance floor will be disinfected each night.

• There will be a maximum of five parents allowed in the lobby at a time. I will be streaming the Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and Ballet I classes via Zoom so that parents can watch class from their car, home, coffee shop, etc. If possible, please pick up and drop-off your student at the front door. I will walk all classes to the door at the end of class.

• Masks will be required in all common areas for students and families (lobby, studio when not dancing, etc.). During class, mask use is at the discretion of students and their parents. I do encourage everyone that can wear a mask during class to do so. Teachers will wear masks at all times.
